When I was young I always had great interests in art. Whether it was water colors, oils, pen and ink, sketching or doodling on my Pee Chee folder day dreaming in class, it was always about creating. Just out of high school, I realized that there weren't many jobs available to make a living as a fine artist. The best solution was to enter the world of graphic design. Being very meticulous in nature, this was the perfect solution to continue to express my creative side while providing a career field that I truly love.
I attended California State University, Fullerton where I received a bachelor of fine arts degree (BFA), emphasis in graphic design. Shortly after graduating, I became head of the art department at Mother's Market where I had been working as a designer during my college tenure. I branched off from there and pursued freelancing until I landed a job as an art director at a small agency in Fullerton, Ca. After working for a handful of agencies, I went back to freelance. With the work experience I've gained throughout the years, I learned how to acquire, manage and execute all facets, that of a small agency.
Today, more than 25 years later, I continue to strive for new ideas that are both pleasing to the client and relevant in the market place. I feel it's always good practice to keep that balance in the creative world.
In my spare time, I enjoy live music, billiards, surfing, live and broadcast sports, and whenever I have the chance, I like to play live music.
